How do I enable and disable contact methods?

Enable or disable contact methods from the Messaging Settings page

You can easily enable or disable contact methods per location from the Messaging Settings page by following the steps below: 

To Enable a Contact Method:

  1. Click the Settings icon at the bottom-left corner of the page.
  2. Click Messagingmessaging-1
  3. Click the +New button.new
  4. Select Email Address or Phone Number to enter the relevant contact method information. 
    1. Add a new phone number
    2. Add a new email

To Disable a Contact Method:

If you disable a contact method, you will no longer be able to receive messages at that address if and when a customer reaches out. 

  1. Click the Settings icon at the bottom-left corner of the page.
  2. Click Messaging.
  3. Click Edit next to the contact method you want to disable.edit
  4. Click Disable.  
    Note: The Messaging Settings page shows a list of all locations' contact methods. You can add multiple contact methods per location, but each contact method must be associated with at least one location and cannot be shared across locations.
