How do I unsubscribe customers?

Unsubscribe a customer manually

Customers can unsubscribe themselves from communication using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of your email or text. With SMS, texting the word "STOP" will also unsubscribe them. Anytime a customer unsubscribes to email or text communication, Endear will not allow a message to be sent to them even if they fall into a bulk messaging list.

If a customer requests via message that you no longer contact them rather than using the self-service unsubscribe method, you can unsubscribe the customer manually by updating the status of their message to Unsubscribed

How to Manually Unsubscribe a Customer

1. Click on the message with the customer who would like to unsubscribe.

2. Use the drop-down menu in the bottom-left corner of the compose area, across from the Reply button.

3. Check the Unsubscribe option to update the customer's status.

Note that unsubscribing a customer from email will NOT unsubscribe them from receiving texts, and vice-versa. Make sure to unsubscribe the customer from any and all channels where they made the request.
