Customers can unsubscribe themselves from communication using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of your email or text. With SMS, they can also text the word "STOP". Anytime a customer unsubscribes to email or text communication, Endear will not allow a message to be sent to them even if they fall into a bulk messaging list.

If a customer requests via message that you no longer contact them rather than using the self-service unsubscribe method, you can unsubscribe the customer manually by updating the status of their message to Unsubscribed.

How to Manually Unsubscribe a Customer

Step 1. Click on the message with the customer who would like to unsubscribe.

Step 2. Click More Actions in the top right corner of the compose area

Step 3. Check the Unsubscribe option to update the customer's status.

Note that unsubscribing a customer from email will NOT unsubscribe them from receiving texts, and vice-versa. Make sure to unsubscribe the customer from any and all channels where they made the request.

You can also manually re-subscribe a customer. This action is only acceptable with the customer's consent.
