Overview
WhatsApp campaigns in Endear allow you to send bulk marketing messages to your customers through WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp campaigns work differently from SMS and email campaigns in a few important ways:
WhatsApp campaigns require you to use a pre-approved message prompt (a Meta-approved message template) rather than writing free-form message content. You must have at least one approved prompt set up before creating a campaign.
Because prompts are pre-approved templates, campaign variations are not supported for WhatsApp.
WhatsApp campaigns use your customers' SMS consent status. Customers who are unsubscribed on any contact method will be excluded from the send.
WhatsApp marketing messages cannot be sent to US recipients, which applies to campaigns. WhatsApp campaigns are intended for international audiences.
Meta may temporarily limit delivery for individual recipients who are less likely to engage with marketing messages, which can result in some failed deliveries.
Step-by-step guide
1. From the left navigation, select Campaigns and select Create a campaign in the top-right corner.
2. Select either a One-time WhatsApp campaign or a Recurring WhatsApp campaign.
3. Configure your campaign settings which are largely similar to setting up any other campaign.
Enter the Title and Description under the Details.
Configure the Sender strategy and Audience.
Adjust your Schedule settings to choose when messages should be sent.
4. WhatsApp has unique messaging rules surrounding message prompts and consent, those rules also apply to WhatsApp campaigns. In section 4, click Select WhatsApp prompt, then choose your prompt from the approved list. Then select Save.
Reporting
Once the WhatsApp campaign has been set live, select the campaign from your campaigns list to view delivery status and engagement metrics, including delivery rate and any customer responses.
