How do I reset my PIN?

Forgot your PIN? Reset it via email, SMS, or WhatsApp — or request a reset from your manager.

Applies to: Users

Note: PIN-enabled devices & PIN code login is launching on June 23rd, 2026. Until then, the legacy PIN experience is active. Learn more here.

Overview

If you've forgotten your PIN, you can reset it directly from the login screen. The way the reset works depends on whether you have an email, phone number, or other login method on your account.

  • From the PIN entry screen, select Forgot PIN?

  • If your account has other login methods (email, SMS, WhatsApp), you can choose where to send a reset link. Open the link to set a new PIN.

  • If your account only has a PIN, request a reset from your manager (or your admin, if you don't have a manager). They'll receive an email with reset instructions.

If you remember your current PIN and just want to change it, see How can I create or change my pin code? instead.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the login screen on any PIN-enabled device and input your username. You'll see the PIN entry field. Select Forgot PIN?

2. What you see next depends on what login methods are set up on your account.

If you have an email, SMS, or WhatsApp number associated with your account.

You'll see a dropdown listing your verified contact methods. Select one and submit.

You'll get a confirmation that a reset link has been sent. Open the message on your email, SMS, or WhatsApp, click the link, and set a new 6-digit PIN.

If your only login method is your PIN

You'll see a screen letting you request a reset from your manager.

  • Select Request manager reset to send your manager(s) an email with reset instructions.

  • The email includes your name, your team(s), the device you tried to sign in on, and step-by-step instructions for resetting your PIN.

  • If no manager exists on your team(s), the request is sent to your admin(s) instead.

Once your manager or admin resets your PIN, they'll share your new PIN with you. You can then sign in and change it to something memorable — see How can I create or change my pin code?.

Tips

  • After resetting, choose a PIN that's easy for you to remember but not obvious (like your birthday or a sequential string).

  • If you've reset your PIN, change it to something you'll actually remember by following the change-PIN flow in your profile.

  • If you also want a password on your account as a backup, an admin can set one up for you. See How to set a password for PIN-only users.
