Overview

Endear has three role types with different campaign permissions. Here's what you need to know:

Users

  • Front-line team members who create campaigns for their assigned teams

  • Must be assigned to at least one team to build campaigns

  • Can view and edit campaigns for teams they're assigned to

Managers

  • Team leaders with oversight across campaigns for teams they manage

  • Must be assigned to at least one team

  • May approve campaigns depending on organization settings

Admins

  • Full access to all campaign features across all teams

  • Do not need team assignments to work with campaigns

  • Configure approval settings and manage campaign permissions

Building Campaigns

Every role type can access the campaign builder to work with:

  • Campaign templates and recipes

  • Message content and personalization

  • Audience filtering and segmentation

  • Campaign scheduling

  • Duplicate existing campaigns to use as templates for new campaigns

Campaign building permissions vary by role in the following ways:

  • Users can create campaigns only for their assigned teams and must have at least one team assignment.

  • Managers can create campaigns for any team they manage and must also have at least one team assignment.

  • Admins can create campaigns for any team across the organization without requiring team assignment. Admins can also create campaign recipes from existing campaigns for reuse.

Launching Campaigns

Who can launch campaigns depends on your brand's settings which admins configure in Campaign Settings.

Campaigns may require approval when:

  • Campaign recipient limits exceed configured thresholds

  • Campaign settings differ from brand defaults

  • Campaign subscription or suppression rules have been modified

Pre-Launch Requirements

Before anyone can launch a campaign, these elements must be complete:

  1. Campaign message content is finalized

  2. At least one sender option is configured

  3. Audience is defined with recipients

  4. All campaign variations are ready to send (if applicable)

  5. Required fields are populated (like email subject lines)

  6. Campaign has approval (if required)
