I've reached my Shopify spending limit, what do I do?

How to adjust your subscription when using Shopify

Endear enables Shopify merchants to pay for their Endear subscription directly through Shopify's billing system. However, because of Shopify's spending limit, your activity in a given month may be capped due to additional teams added mid-month, or overages on messages. If you should receive an email letting you know that you've reached your limit, you have a few options on how to move forward: 

 

1. Increase your spending limit

Endear makes it very easy to access your Shopify billing account and update your spending limit - we'll take care of requesting the right spending limit to help you avoid this problem in the future. 

Visit Settings -> Billing and click on Update Spending Limit at the bottom of the page. This will permanently increase your limit moving forward. Keep in mind that to increase your spending limit, you must be the Shopify account owner.

2. Switch to a credit card

Endear also enables you to pay for your subscription via credit card. There is no additional fee and no change in your price by switching - in fact, a credit card provides a more seamless experience overall since it does not require you to go through Shopify to approve upgrades or add new locations. 

To switch to a credit card, follow the steps above and select "Switch to a credit card" at the bottom of the page instead.

3. Not a one-time thing? Get a custom subscription plan. 

If you notice that you continuously receive notifications regarding messaging overages, it might be time to move you to a custom plan. Through a custom plan, we can make sure your account includes the right number of emails and text, and give you more predictability around your monthly subscription price. You can also move to an annual subscription to receive a discount on your messaging rates.
