What are Audience Restrictions?

Audience Restrictions in Endear give you precise control over which customers a store team can contact. This ability helps brands fulfill compliance requirements and makes it easier for team members to contact the right customers at the right time.

With Audience Restrictions, Admins can configure a variety of settings including:

  • Customizable contact rules for each team in your organization

  • Flexible audience targeting based on customer attributes and relationships

  • Category-based filtering including customers assigned to team members, purchase location history, and geographic proximity

  • Permission controls to manage who can edit Audience Restriction settings

Setting Up or Removing Audience Restrictions

Overview

  1. Click "Settings" then click "Teams"

  2. Select the team or check the box for multiple teams then click "Edit messaging restrictions"

  3. Select "Yes" then choose the desired restrictions or select "No" to remove all restrictions.

  4. Click "Save"

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Click on "Settings", then "Teams"

2. Click on the team you want to set-up Audience Restrictions for. If you're interested in using the same settings for multiple teams, use the checkboxes to select them all. Then click on "Edit messaging restrictions" at the bottom of the page.

3. To set-up Audience restrictions, select "Yes" and choose the desired controls for the selected teams. To remove all Audience Restrictions from the selected teams, select "No". Then click "Save".

Viewing a Team's Audience Restrictions

If you want to see if a team has any active audience restrictions, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Settings, then Teams

2. Click on the Team to open up the Team Details page

3. Scroll down to Messaging restrictions to view the team's current settings. You can change these settings by selecting "Edit".
