Endear lets you link each staff member's Endear profile to their profile in your POS or e-commerce integration. This is a key setup step: it's how Endear knows which staff member made each sale, and several features depend on it.
Why linking matters
If staff profiles aren't linked, Endear can't connect orders from your integrations to the staff members who made them. This can lead to:
Audiences not populating: audiences that filter by staff member or cashier may be missing customers or come up empty.
Opportunities not routing: AI Opportunity Engine opportunities can't be assigned to the staff member who owns the customer relationship, so they may go unassigned.
Inaccurate cashier filters: cashier filters can't show which staff member made an order.
Link profiles when you first connect an integration, and again whenever you add new staff members.
Note: The Data tab is no longer in the main navigation. Staff profiles and other data pages are now under Settings > Integrations and Data.
Overview
To link several staff members at once, go to Settings > Integrations and Data > Staff Profiles, select Link staff profiles, then select any blank fields to link the staff member to their corresponding external profile.
To link one staff member, go to Settings > Staff, select the staff member, select Edit under Connected User Profiles, then choose the external profiles to link.
Step-by-step guide
How to link multiple staff profiles from the Staff Profiles screen
1. Select Settings, then select Integrations and Data.
2. Select Staff profiles.
3. Select Link staff profiles in the top right corner.
4. Select the field in the Connected user profiles column for the user you want to link.
5. Choose the external profiles to link to that user profile. Repeat for any other staff members you want to link.
How to link an individual staff member from the Settings screen
1. Select Settings.
2. Select Staff.
3. Select the staff member you want to edit.
4. Select the blank field under Connected User Profiles.
5. Select the external profiles you want to link to the staff member's Endear user profile.
