Overview
Shoppable Stories let your customers add items to cart and check out directly from a Story. To turn it on, an admin connects each of your brand's Shopify stores to Endear Checkout from your Stories settings.
Select Stories
Select the ... menu, then select Settings
Scroll to the Shoppable stories section
Select Connect next to the Shopify store you want to enable, which will direct you to your Shopify admin site
Select Add sales channel
Select Accept for the terms of service and privacy policy
Select Finish setup
You are now connected to Endear Checkout and can create a Story with checkout turned on
Before you start
Your Shopify e-commerce site must already be connected to Endear.
You must be an Admin in Endear. To see which staff members can complete this setup, go to Staff settings and look for the Admin role.
You must have permission to install apps on your Shopify store.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Select Creative from the left navigation.
2. From the Stories page, select Settings.
3. Scroll to the Shoppable stories section at the bottom of the page. Each Shopify store connected to your brand is listed here with its own connection status. Select Connect next to the Shopify store you want to enable. If your brand has more than one Shopify store, repeat this step for each store that should support checkout. Selecting Connect directs you to your Shopify admin site to install Endear Checkout.
4. In Shopify, select Add sales channel.
5. Select Accept for the terms of service and privacy policy.
6. Select Finish setup.
7. Return to Endear. The store now shows as connected under Shoppable stories, and you can create a Story with an add to cart and checkout button.
Setting the checkout default for new stories
Your Stories settings page also has a Story defaults section. These settings apply to every new Story your staff create, including whether checkout is turned on. Use the checkout toggle there to set the default you want for your brand.
