Overview
When you create a campaign, you can customize the subscription & suppression rules to ensure only select customers are included. Suppression rules in Endear automatically prevent customers from being contacted too frequently by filtering out recipients who have been recently contacted. Subscription rules allow you to choose if campaign receipts have to be subscribed to marketing materials. However, when drafting your audience, the campaign suppression rules will not automatically reflect the recipient list whereas the subscription rules will be reflected. Keep reading to learn how to use filters to see your true campaign audience.
Campaign Subscription & Suppression Rules
Will the campaign audience reflect these selections?
It depends.
When setting the subscription rules, your campaign audience WILL automatically update to only show the customers who meet the criteria.
When setting the suppression rules, your campaign audience WILL NOT update, so it may include customers who will be omitted after the campaign goes live.
Viewing true audience with suppression rules
To see your true campaign audience and how your suppression rules will impact your campaign, you can use filters that match your suppression rules.
To add a "Last Endear message" filter:
In your campaign audience builder, click to add a new filter
Search for "Last Message" in the filter options
Select "Last Message Date is more than x days ago"
Convert your suppression rule (which is in hours) into days, then enter the number of days.
This filter will show you the true audience of your campaign including who will be omitted due to your suppression rule.
Campaign Receipt Omit Reasons
In addition to suppression rules, certain customers may not receive campaign messages based on other criteria. Learn more about campaign omissions here.
