Overview
Endear supports two calendar types to manage your appointments: a Connected Calendar and a Hosted Calendar. Both options allow you to organize and schedule appointments, but they differ in how they are managed and whether they integrate with external calendar services. Understanding these differences will help you choose the best option for your needs.
Connected Calendar
A Connected Calendar is one that primarily exists outside of Endear.
You can connect external calendars (such as Google or Outlook Calendar) to Endear Appointments, leveraging the power of Endear's CRM and allowing customers to easily book on that calendar.
While you can manage appointments from Endear, they are ultimately stored in the external calendar.
Ideal for: Users who already use an external calendar and want seamless integration with Endear.
Hosted Calendar
A Hosted Calendar is one that is created and managed entirely within the Endear platform.
Hosted calendars allow you to leverage the full suite of customizable settings available with Endear.
It does not rely on external services like Google or Outlook.
Ideal for: Users who want to maximize flexibility and keep everything related to Appointments within Endear.
Which calendar is a better fit?
Connected Calendar: Choose this if you’re already using an external calendar service and want to integrate it with Endear for easier appointment management.
Hosted Calendar: Choose this if you prefer to manage everything directly in Endear and don’t need integration with an external calendar service.
You can also use a combination of connected and hosted calendars if it makes sense for your brand!
